IKAN LEBAH, TERPIPIH DAN UNIK
Ikan Brachygobius xanthozonus, memiliki ciri khas yang sangat mencolok. Tubuhnya kecil dan memanjang, dengan kepala yang relatif besar dan bentuk tubuh yang terkompresi. Salah satu ciri paling mencolok adalah pola garis-garis vertikal berwarna kuning cerah yang menghiasi tubuhnya yang berwarna coklat kehitaman, memberikan kesan seperti pola lebah yang menjadi asal usul nama ikan ini. Sirip dada ikan ini besar dan kuat, memungkinkan mereka berpindah-pindah di dasar perairan atau menempel pada substrat. Sirip punggungnya yang tinggi juga berfungsi untuk menstabilkan pergerakannya. Mata ikan ini besar dan menonjol, membantu mereka mendeteksi mangsa atau predator di sekitar. Dengan ukuran tubuh yang tidak lebih dari 5 cm, ikan ini tergolong kecil, namun sangat teradaptasi untuk hidup di perairan berlumpur atau berpasir di muara atau sungai, sering bersembunyi di celah-celah batu atau pasir untuk perlindungan.
BUMBLEBEE FISH, FLAWLESS AND UNIQUE FISH
Brachygobius xanthozonus, has very striking characteristics. Its body is small and elongated, with a relatively large head and compressed body shape. One of the most striking features is the pattern of bright yellow vertical stripes that adorn its brown-black body, giving it the impression of the bee pattern from which the fish derives its name. The pectoral fins are large and strong, allowing them to move around on the bottom or cling to the substrate. Its high dorsal fin also serves to stabilize its movement. The eyes are large and prominent, helping them detect nearby prey or predators. Measuring no more than 5 cm in length, this fish is small, yet highly adapted to living in the muddy or sandy waters of estuaries or rivers, often hiding in crevices of rocks or sand for protection.
