The Synondontis Tulis fish (Synodontis ornatipinnis), also known as the barfin synondontis, is a species of catfish native to the Congo Basin in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Zambia. Synondontis Tulis fish has a strong, bony head that extends to the first dorsal fin. This fish has three pairs of antennae. Maxillary barbels are located on the upper jaw, and two pairs of mandibular barbels are on the lower jaw. The body color is grayish yellow or pale olive on the back and white on the underside and has patterns on the body.
