Barramundi (Lates calcarifer), also known as Asian sea bass or giant sea perch, is a species of catadromous fish in the family Latidae. Barramundi has a long body with a large mouth and an upper jaw that extends beyond the eyes. Their bodies can reach lengths of up to 1.8 m (5.9 ft), although evidence of them being caught at this size is scarce. Maximum weight is about 60 kg (130 lb).
