BUAYA KAIMAN
SMOOTH-FRONTED CAIMAN
(Paleosuchus trigonatus)
WILD DWARF CROCODILE
One of the smallest crocodile species in the world, with an average length of around 1.2 to 1.5 meters. This animal lives in fresh waters such as small rivers, swamps and ponds in the tropical forests of South America. Its camouflage ability is very good. With its dark, rough skin, it can be almost invisible among aquatic plants and mud, making it difficult for both prey and predators to detect. Apart from that, Kaiman crocodiles are also known to have strong territorial behavior and more often prey on small animals such as fish, amphibians and insects. Despite its small size, it is very agile in the water and can move quickly to attack its prey, even at night when visibility is low.
