The Mangrove Red Snapper (Lutjanus argentimaculatus), also known as the mangrove jack, gray snapper, or rock barramundi, is a species of finfish that belongs to the family Lutjanidae. The Mangrove Red Snapper has a deep, compressed body, covered with very small ctenoid scales. They have a steep dorsal profile to the head, fairly large eyes with a diameter much shorter than the length of the rounded snout. This species reaches a maximum total length of 40 cm.
