Amphilophus trimaculatus or also known as the Chen Chu Flowerhorn is a species of flowerhorn originating from Mexico and Central America. The Chen Chu flowerhorn fish is a flowerhorn fish with a large and heavy body. They have a green or yellow base color with three distinctive dots on the sides of their bodies. Males are usually larger than females, can grow up to 15 inches, have longer and sharper fins, and have a large red spot behind their gills. Females are usually smaller, growing to 9-10 inches, and have less dominant red spots.
